Delegate Bill Carrico Brings In Major Endorsements As Election Draws Near Support Comes From Groups And Individuals Representing A Broad Cross-Section Of Southwest Virginians

FRIES, VA-- Delegate Bill Carrico, candidate for Virginia's 40th state senate district, has received the endorsement of several major advocate groups in the lead up to November's elections. Several current and former elected officials representing Southwest Virginia have also offered their support. Organizations supporting Carrico include the National Federation of Independent Businesses, the National Rifle Association, the Virginia State Police Association, and the Virginia Farm Bureau. Individuals include Governor Bob McDonnell, Governor and US Senate Candidate George Allen, Delegate Terry Kilgore, and retiring State Senator William Wampler, among others.

These endorsements also follow recent awards including "Legislator of The Year" from the Virginia Sheriff's Association, and the "Virginia Coal Association" award, "...in appreciation for unwavering support of Southwest Virginia's economy, the Appalachian coal mining industry, and the coalfield's residents."

These endorsements represent the confidence that leaders of business and government have in my record over 10 years in the General Assembly, and my plan to enable businesses to grow and flourish unencumbered by excessive government interference.
